Security Camera
This 4-minute audial/visual experimental short is an exploration of the world of nighttime wildlife on the hillside behind my urban neighborhood in northern Los Angeles. After editing the footage from the hunting trap cameras I use to capture animal activities at night, I created an ambient sound design sculpted specifically to reflect the signature ambient audio of this particular urban neighborhood. Traffic, wind chimes, sirens, and the relentless calls of mockingbirds combine with the sync sound of the animals and their movements. The video for this piece would be projected onto a wall or flat surface and audio would playback on stereo speakers.
