An array of metal tubes, panels and other shapes mounted, suspended or otherwise arranged excited to resonance by physical and electric force via transducers, magnets, solenoids and or motors using sound sources as the excitation signals which are playback of pre-recorded and asynchronously looping material or on-site live generated through synthesizers and microphones
Inspiration was taken from from Brian Eno’s early ambient explorations, Eliane Radigue’s feedback studies, and Z’ev’s metal resonance performances
Some program material will occur as parallel but asynchronous loops of long tones and silence, which gives rise to chaotic generative coincidences of sonorous and incongruous sound moments. rhythm tempo and complexity for transient excitations will punctuate and space and will be derived from chaotic voltage sources and influenced by natural and ephemeral state within and during the installation, such as light and temperature.

Miser is the ritual electronics unit founded by John Hudnall and Drew Girard, existing as improvisatory live performance, installation art, and recorded output. In practice, Miser serves as a reality disassembly tool, using sound forms to create ritual space and perceptual portals, inspired by organic, technological, and imagined sources.
