V!TAMIN BYTE
I am conjuring up an alchemical chamber of sonic sculpture of bodily adaptations. The central artifacts are the wearable welded metal and silicone sculptures embedded with contact microphones. These objects are prosthetics and ritual artifacts that function as instruments. As performers strike, drag, caress, and move with them, sound is generated live and processed through Ableton, producing metallic, viscous, distorted, and intimate textures. Friction becomes language. Touch becomes circuitry. The body, the genetics–become an unstable instrument. The visual world moves toward a symbiosis of rust, detritus, body alteration, creature drag, and hybrid bio-organic forms. Movement scores, breath, live sound processing of respiration and sparse spoken fragments carry the piece through mourning, maladaptation, decay, and regeneration. I am hoping to incorporate technology such as the Playtron, TouchMe or Genki Wave.
Omega Sound
Omega is a interactive musical instrument that converts Body Language to Sonic Expression.
A sensory creative tool that responds to your body language, turning natural movement into personalized sonic experiences — nurturing creativity and wellness.

TORIA KAHNI’s work explores an Asian ancient-future: a shifting ecology of bodies through poetry, welded sculpture, wearable forms, ceramics and movement, they open thresholds where interior states—pain, rupture, transformation—become sonic and corporeal material. Shaped by backgrounds in biotechnology and psychology and living with chronic autoimmune illness, they approach the body as unstable and relational. Performance becomes a site of adaptation, endurance, and collective repair. Influenced by cyborg theory, posthuman philosophy, science fiction, and drag, they create sonic objects and embodied environments activated through embodied exchange. Collaboration is central to their practice.
