This project is a visceral response to the rise of uninspired AI-generated music, transforming frustration into an immersive act of creative destruction. By using Arduino-controlled solenoids to physically “trash” representations of terrible AI music on a piano, the installation reclaims the power of human expression. The chaotic interplay between mechanical precision and unpredictable acoustic distortions embodies the catharsis of dismantling mediocrity.
While it may echo musical elements, the work rejects traditional composition, instead embracing noise, texture, and the raw materiality of sound. It operates as a sonic protest, challenging the audience to reconsider the line between music and sound art, and inviting them to revel in the liberating act of undoing.

Embracing the thrill of sonic innovation, Ryan Spratt is an audio creative esoteric.
