Amid a bustling commercial district, intimate sound-art pockets emerge, offering moments of calm or strangeness, ranging from echoes of pre-Colombian memory to surreal rituals. These transient zones of listening, in a wide range of media, pop like hidden sanctuaries, where everyday noise meets dreamscape.

Heard
Silence, bent to listen
In an environment where noise has become an accepted intrusion, “Heard” reclaims unstrained listening. A sound art intervention, “Heard” critiques the commercial soundscape’s temptations, to carnival bark, decibel duel, and to drown out voices just inches apart.

Through the interplay of aural & oral modes, where spoken words, ambient lull, historic loops, and intentional silence converge,  “Heard” asks “At what inaudible decibel does memory din? What emerges when silence bends to listen back?”

An experiment to both provoke and enhance, this lowercase sound experience resists self-enchanted noise making  & searing ear’branding.
