A classically trained pianist and clarinetist from childhood, Jorge Martin performed in his high school band and orchestra before switching to noise after graduation. In 1994, he and Erik Hoffman founded the noise duo Spastic Colon, followed by Jorge joining the noise band Sleestak in 1997. Over time, he evolved into a sound artist, collaborating with local performers—including Anna Homler, the Southern California Soundscape Ensemble, and soundShoppe—even occasionally picking up his clarinet again.
