PARTICIPATION
UNDERNEATH: A synesthetic influenced audiovisual performance. This performance will be all instrumental, incorporating samples, found sound, long form electronics (SOMA pipe, spdsx), percussion & drums. Textural landscapes will be created in real time to create an immersive environment, accompanied by visuals utilizing collected field recordings, in order to further draw attention to the subconscious. Engaging with this installation will allow listeners to draw their attention further inwards, towards our allostatic wells, waiting to be uncovered.
Matthew Mallinger is a Creative Technologist, based in Highland Park, CA & born in St. Paul, MN. His works are audiovisual in nature, often incorporating a deep synesthetic influence. His audio & visual works often overlap, & are inspired by the subconscious & the natural world.
