Brent Vallefuoco
Brent Vallefuoco is a guitarist, improviser, and composer based in Long Beach, California. Using pedals and extended techniques, he is influenced by improvisers like Sonny Sharrock, Derek Bailey, and Keiji Haino as well as rock experimentalists like Kevin Shields and Nick Reinhart. As a composer, he has explored genres as varied as minimalism, noise, electroacoustic music, field recordings, sound collage, math rock, shoegaze, and progressive rock.

Phog masheeen began in 2007 at the Electro-Music Festival in Philadelphia. Since then, there have been a regular stream of gigs, festivals and even the Orange County Fair. Phog masheeen Events promotes shows in Joshua Tree, CA and assists in the production of the Santa Ana Noise Festival. For a number of years Phog masheeen performed at soundpedro with a large ensemble. Then promoted virtual events on YouTube as Artist Curated Events for soundpedro. Phog Masheeen continues to revel in the sonic possibilities of common objects and with the addition of Narration to the mix, phog masheeen offers a path to noise evolution.
