PARTICIPATION
Ceramiphone is an experimentation in sound and ceramic sculpture comprised of a heavily textured rotating ceramic form and a ceramic amplification horn. As a ceramicists who works in production, I have been inspired by the repetition and yet unique process of each piece I make. Every time I take a take a creation out of the kiln, I ring it. If it rings like a bell it means I have a finished project. I wanted to explore this sound further and the idea of this “finality” with in the ring. What if it never stops ringing?
Brandon Bollinger or “Bo Bollinger” is a Los Angeles based artist. He has experience in sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, and painting. Recycled materials and everyday objects inspire much of his work. Bollinger pushes the limitations of his subject by using exaggeration and repetition.
