Viktor Rosas, Camilo Otero, Nguyen Ly

Nguyen Ly is a multimedia artist and art educator with expertise in numerous printmaking techniques (including drypoint, collagraph, and monoprint), as well as drawing, sculpture and collage. His prints, drawings, sculpture and other work have been exhibited throughout California and in locales as diverse as Springfield, Missouri, and Guadalajara, Mexico.

Nguyen was born in Saigon and raised in Los Angeles, and is a member of the collaborative and experimental printmaking group Lynk Collective. He was also a member of Los de Abajo Printmaking Collective and Mono Gráfico Colectivo. As a result, he is especially attuned to the cultural mix that makes his adopted hometown of L.A. so rich.

Installation:
The Screaming Whales
Viktor Rosas, Nguyen Ly, and Camilo Otero site specific installation utilizes the front facing windows of the printmaking studio. We will combine printmaking, collage, animation, and field recordings in this artwork and we plan to project the animation and sound from inside the studio outward. All entrances will be closed. Viewers will be able to see the projection on the windowpanes and hear the sound in vicinity near the front of studio.
