LBsoundbrowse Call

LBsoundbrowse 2026 will take place in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, CA on Saturday evening, October 10, 2026, 6 – 9 PM

FLOOD seeks sound art to be placed in non art-dedicated spaces on 2nd Street and beyond in Belmont Shore. Work can be interactive or self-contained (e.g. sculptures, environments, installations, performances, interactions, and roaming presentations).

It is important that artists understand that LBsoundbrowse is a Sound Art event and not a music event.

Submissions accepted through August 20, 2026.
Artist notification by August 25, 2026.

LBsoundbrowse is produced by the artist group FLOOD in partnership with the Belmont Shore Business Association (BSBA)

Read complete instructions before submitting. Link to submission form is at the bottom of this page.

For all Artists

  • Artists may propose projects for these modes of presentation:
    • Installation/Performance – fixed location
    • Roaming presentation
  • All proposed projects must run for the duration of the event.
  • FLOOD/BSBA will not furnish any equipment. Artists are responsible for all computers, projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, power strips, generators/batteries, cables etc. BSBA will provide the site(s) and, in some cases, power. Sites not near buildings will not have power available. Portable batteries are a good option (Portable Power Station: https://tinyurl.com/bd73y9a4).
  • Proposal Review: FLOOD will review your proposal and will email you our decision.
If we have questions, we may contact you via the email or phone number in your submission.
